Program Overview
The Project Planning Training Programme blends Live-Online weekend classes and offline learning to prepare aspiring project planners for the challenges and opportunities of project controls. Mentoring is a critical component of the training program. You will interact with your mentor while you are working on your assignment.
It is an online program designed around the requirements of a busy individual who wants to carry on with the day job and become a project planner at the same time. You will gain the knowledge, skills, and mindset required to become an all-rounded planner. The emphasis is on learning-by-doing through the application of the acquired knowledge.
Who Should Join This Program
The program is best suited to fresh graduates and experienced professionals aspiring to become all-rounded project planners. The admission is limited and competitive to ensure we bring together a truly stimulating and knowledgeable group of people providing diverse inspiration. Therefore, secure your place as soon as possible.
Program Structure
It is a blended program delivered through a combination of:
- Immersive live-online workshops delivered over weekends (Sat-Sun)
- Working through project planning assignments and tools
- Coaching and mentoring from the course leader
- Prereading material
There are four modules in the program. You will be enrolling in one module at a time. Module 1, Fundamentals of Project Planning, is the core module and prerequisite for rest of the modules.
Each module starts with a two-day live-online workshop. During the workshop, you will be introduced project planning concepts, tools, and techniques. Also, you will meet your course leader: an experienced project planner and mentor. Your course leader will work with you to ensure your learning of concepts, skills and the planner's mindset is maximized. This is done by ensuring that theory is converted into practical action while participants are working on the assignments.
An assignment submission follows each workshop. You will have four weeks to complete the module assignment. Admission into the following modules is subject to the successful completion of the core module and its assignment. You will work for about 4-5 hours per week to complete your assignment.
Each module is also supported by pre-reading material to enhance the learning during the workshop. You will have access to the material after the enrollment.
